Trick or Treat

This morning the kids and I hosted a Halloween playdate and invited some of their local pals.  No tricks, just lots and lots of treats!!  Everyone looked great in their costumes!  We had a fire fighter, football player, Superman, Superwoman, bunny, cat, Frankenstein, Peter Pan and Wendy!

For lunch we enjoyed "hot dog mummies", "sandwiTches", "eyeball (deviled) eggs", and Halloween chips & queso dip.  I found most of the ideas online and stuck to the main colors of orange, black, lime and purple.

I tried a new easy peasy punch recipe and called it "swamp slime"!

For dessert we indulged in "dirt & worms cupcakes", pumpkin jello cups and giant pumpkin marshmallows.

These were two of the most fun snacks to make: "magic wands" and "spooky oreo eye pops".

My first ever attempt at caramel apples turned out pretty well!  Each party guest got to dip and decorate their very own to take home!

And here's how Emma's turned out!

Another fun activity was pumpkin decorating!  I found the cutest most inexpensive felt shapes at  the dollar store this weekend.

The kiddos seemed to have fun and loved getting to take them home.  Here's how the pumpkins turned out!

Happy Halloween to all friends, family members and fellow party planners!
